New Fairfield Pink Out Game: Rebels Play for a Cure
New Fairfield Pink Out Game Friday January 30, 2015 Newstimes Excerpt: The New Fairfield High School boys basketball team put up a heck of a fight, but couldn’t defeat the only remaining unbeaten team in South-West Conference play Friday night.
The Rebels rallied in the second half but suffered a 60-53 loss to Bunnell. More importantly, however, the game raised money for Rebels For A Cure, a fundraiser organized in connection with the Officials vs. Cancer project for the American Cancer Society. Many in attendance — including New Fairfield coach Joel Pardalis — wore pink cancer awareness shirts provided by My Vision Tees of Danbury. Part of the proceeds from the game will go to help a New Fairfield family pay for cancer treatments.
